“A line is a dot that went for a walk.” – Paul Klee

Hi, this is Patricia and I am a Graphic Designer!

Graphic design is neither strictly visual nor strictly verbal. It combines the two, they are  fused, bonded, inseparable. A designer needs to understand how content communicates and how it relates to visual form. We as graphic designers communicate with  the audience visually and authors with written words. So, we are both, we make the use of the language to communicate with an audience too.

The eye is our must powerful tool. We designers are natural observers. But, the use of typography and language is the primary component that set apart our work from that of the illustrators, who deal only with images.

Designing, painting and drawing frees my imagination and provides many opportunities to express myself graphically and convey. The surroundings speak to me. I am always exploring many patterns, textures and colors. I am concerned with forms, spatial and atmospheric moods, contrasts of light and dark; space, color, lines and shapes. Always inquiring the endless possibilities of composition of the visual world, questioning, analyzing and pursuing ideas that motivate my work. My focus is on the message that I am trying to bring across, either written or visual, then I awed by the mystery of how creation occurs.

For me and for my professional growth, learning is an endless journey.
